Such a cold spring

So cold and no sign of it disappearing. This cold weather, five months, is too long. Not that anything can be done about it. The earth is a self righting organism and it will suit itself, whatever the weather. Has been a busy time, from flu. to St. Patrick's Day. A christian of the past, it probably was too dangerous for women to travel. So there came about the male christian church. Possibly. Anyway we live in modern times and there is no point harking back to the past. However we celebrate, coming out of the 'dark ages'. The fact that there has been many dark times since, does not cause the message to disappear. Love thy neighbour as thy self. The fact we have to be reminded, to treat others with kindness, is a bit of a shame. We are not perfect and information, education and kindness can be lost. Certainly, when it comes to nature, the respect due to it, has been lost. Not all people, but many influential persons have lost their direction. Nature and humanity are one. To destroy one, destroys the other. A cold spring and a cold future if Genetically Modified plants and creatures are seen as a sign of progress. Far from it.  An insult to nature, possibly the most destructive interference with the Golden Mean.

A cold spring

A cold spring for cold hearts, still so many problems, war and suffering. Unnecessary suffering in many countries. It being modern times, political agendas of power and control are at issue. Anyway, dental surgery successful, just waiting for nature to continue healing. Painful but nature is not for hurrying. Humanity could make some decisions to prevent war. Arms are big business, surely there are other investments to be developed, which add to the sum of human happiness. Many do not ponder enough on ways, even a change of investment can cause ripples in the world.

Hope new ideas and new ways of protecting society and the planet become a reality as soon as possible. Power lust for GMO market entrapment, control of water and populations, leave ethics at the wayside. New ideas and new approaches, ethical and humane are always welcome. Too many are willing to close their eyes to suffering, often it backfires as it emboldens the ruthless to turn on their own. The profit motive creates a situation where no human or nation is safe. Safe from avarice.

Spring is here

A cold and dry spring, some sleety snow today. having just recovered from flu, next dental surgery, dentists great, but there is no escaping the pain of it. Stitches to be taken out, so why mention this? Well, my pain made me ponder upon pain, in turn on torture. The infliction of pain being it's raison d'etre. The Magna Carta and secret courts, also come to mind. A vote will be made upon that soon, the secret courts. If passed, a law will cause the infliction of pain to be, somewhat, a matter of private, secret court concern, rather than a public matter. A step back for democracy and a sad turning away from human rights.

Of course we are coming nearer to Easter a Pagan and Christian festival in tandem. Many of us have endured minor pains and tortures, some can be very painful. Betrayal, loss or self betrayal, in so many forms. Some of us are just not prepared for disappointments or more correctly on how to handle them. Modern times have brought new insights and understandings, yet regressive policies of torture, war, destruction of ecology and humanity continue. The world leadership have become quite ruthless in pursuit of their aims, openly and without restraint. Fear does not stalk their political conscience and duty to the people, though fear of enemies stalks them wildly.

It would appear, the public have lost respect, somehow meaningless in this grand scheme of corporate and political chess. How do they regain respect?, a question many people ask themselves, everyday. Certainly a blank comes to mind, a space, where nothing happens, nothing is. This a problem for many, how to regain respect and power in their life. Hopefully the blank space will become suffuse with ideas and actions of hope and determination.
